“Libraries, Books, and the Digital Future” by Robert Darnton

Library and Archives Canada has posted a video and transcript of last October's Wallot-Sylvestre seminar.
The series sees prominent speakers give invited lectures at the LAC building at 395 Wellington Street in Ottawa.
Robert Darnton, Carl H. Pforzheimer Professor and University Librarian Emeritus, Harvard University spoke on Libraries, Books, and the Digital Future.
He spoke particularly about the Digital Public Library of America, a place online to make "all of the material in all of our research libraries available to everyone free of charge."

The next speaker in the Wallot-Sylvestre Seminar series will be Caroline Brazier, Chief Librarian at the British Library. The event will take place on May 2, 2016.
